Only a couple of nights which felt like a week away. Just superb in every way, comfortable, stunning surroundings. Slept like a log. To be greeted by the hosts dogs in the morning, which was a nice surprise. Having the heated private pool to ourselves was spectacular. A proper home from home.
We will definitely book again.

Monika and Mark are wonderful hosts. A tranquil getaway with comfortable bed and a settee that you want to sink into. Fabulous facilities and very tastefully decorated. A fabulous base for travelling around Kent.
Cottages are perfect for travellers who enjoy feeling cosy and independent in the countryside. Usually small, traditionally built houses, cottages spread across one or two floors, making them great for families, or holidays with a little more privacy.
The food there is absolutely fantastic. Highly recommend to have dinner at the restaurant / pub. The ingredients are fresh and from the local area's farm. The rooms are clean and cozy, and all staffs are friendly, helpful and efficient.

This lovely modern fit out had great bathrooms and kitchen with every amenity, and yet it still felt like a lovely cottage with a great big dining table and sofas you can just flop into and relax.
We wanted a 'traditional English' cosy hotel with en-suite facilities and a good restaurant and service. The Dog and Bear delivered beautifully! The room was larger than we expected for the price and we were particularly impressed with the service provided at the reception, dinner and breakfast- nothing was too much trouble for the cheerful, efficient staff.
I had a delicious supper and Kentish ale in the bar, served by very friendly staff. The atmosphere was cosy and local. My room was larger than I expected and very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent too - just what I needed before a day of walking. I loved exploring Lenham, which is a charming village.
