Quirky, cosy & Private Cottage Holme On Swale, hotel in Leeming Bar

Set in Thirsk and only 15 km from Lightwater Valley Theme Park, Quirky, cosy & Private Cottage Holme On Swale offers accommodation with garden views, free WiFi and free private parking.

The cottage is cute with lots of space. The living room would not have enough seating if the cottage was full to capacity, but it was super spacious for 3 of us. Great outdoor space. Great communication with the host.

Morton House and the Stable Block are two beautifully restored, adjoining properties located in the charming market town of Masham, North Yorkshire.

Comfortable and well maintained, with all the things we needed for our stay. Enjoyed sitting out in the garden in the sunshine! Great location - both the small market town itself and as a base for exploring the area.

Location was brilliant to just stroll into Thirsk or the very good crown and anchor pub, the also good Fish n chip shop, but mostly the reason we were there was it was 15 minute walk to the brilliant Thirsk racecourse.

Exceeded our expectations, beautifully laid out, clean and fresh throughout. Lovely little hamper on arrival, basic essentials provided including more than expected. Super quiet location. Not a fault at all and would recommend this in a heartbeat, well actually I wouldn’t … just in case I selfishly wanted to book again!!!

Loved everything about the place. Our room was the small room but was lovely and cosy. Lovely en suite. Breakfast was great and served with a smile. A very quirky and friendly country pub. Even got to listen to a local jazz band performing. The manager is very welcoming and obliging and deserves to do well. Thanks for a great overnight stay. We look forward to returning next time we're in the area.

The staff are helpful, polite, friendly, funny, and a pleasure to be around. If you want cosy comfy homily with open fires and a relaxing atmosphere, then this is the place to stay. Leave the car in the car park, stay the night, and sit in front of a cosy fire, laughing the evening away. The staff will ponder to all your needs, just sit back and relax. I'm definitely going back.
