Comfortable and well maintained, with all the things we needed for our stay. Enjoyed sitting out in the garden in the sunshine! Great location - both the small market town itself and as a base for exploring the area.

Lovely quiet location on a small farm. Maxine was lovely, friendly and helpful and we could have not asked for more. Nice to wake up and see the chickens and horses too!

Absolutely stunning view from this cottage! It is right beside, almost underneath, the iconic and awe-inspiring Knaresborough viaduct, with the river quietly flowing below. And the view from the cottage in the evenibg is especially unbelievable! We have never had such a peacefully quiet, serene place outside our windows at night. The pink room is tastefully decorated with a super comfy bed and fluffy (not flat!) pillows.

Great location, we stayed at Acorn Lodge while exhibiting at the Yorkshire Show which is only a 10 minute drive away.
Lots of rooms, bathrooms, plenty of space and so close to where we needed to go. A big ASDA only 3 minute drive away made life even easier. Everything we needed was provided including hangers and a hairdryer in the bedroom.

Deceivingly roomy cottage with lovely characteristics, quiet position, lovely surroundings and beautifully appointed. Fabulous garden for us & the dogs. Only stayed one night, wish it could’ve been longer, maybe next time as we’d definitely stay again.

The property has been renovated to a high standard, every room is well decorated and spotlessly clean. The rooms were spacious and the house had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable. The house is a short 10 min walk into harrogate and across the road from valley gardens, which was nice to walk around. The host is easy to contact and allowed an earlier check in for us.
Cottages are perfect for travellers who enjoy feeling cosy and independent in the countryside. Usually small, traditionally built houses, cottages spread across one or two floors, making them great for families, or holidays with a little more privacy.
Perfect sized cottage for 2 people, clean and cozy. This was the perfect base for us to explore the area and there are a lot of local walks.
Host's were very friendly and always around if needed.
The space is bigger than it looks in the pictures and is well furnished.
The welcome basket was fantastic and delicious.
The accommodation was amazing, large, airy, comfortable and cosy.
The views were breathtaking, despite the rapid changing weather conditions we had during our stay.
The contact we had with Nigel and Lena was fantastic and they were on hand on the occasion we needed their help, and they could not have been more helpful.
