Fabulous property set in lovely grounds. We had loads of space to stretch out in comfort. Excellent communication with the host who was lovely and very helpful. Ideal location for us to visit family in Holmfirth, Halifax and Cleckheaton. Plenty of room for the family to call in to see us.
Such a shame we couldn’t use the hot tub but it was fairly grim weather.
Dining room was lovely to sit in - felt like a grand dinner. Cottage was lovely and warm.

It's cosy room with everything you need, including a little kitchenette and bathroom. The location was perfect for us to go to a wedding at the Holmfirth Vinyard, 5 mins in a taxi. It's a nice touch having breakfast available - toast and jams. The underfloor heating was amazing too!
Immaculately clean and tidy. Beautifully presented, tastefully modern room, with lots of natural light and a lovely view from a patio style window. Very warm and cosy. Provided with an excellent selection of cereal, bread etc for a light, cold breakfast. Very warm and friendly landlady.

Nicholas has this place run like a well oiled machine, everyone knows what everyone else is doing and most of the time you don’t even need to ask for anything they just seemed to know what you were after before you did.
friendly and cosy describes the pub and restaurant. decor is fresh and welcoming and the Guinness is spot on!!!
Nicholas and his team are absolutely fantastic, a charming set of individuals who go above and beyond to delight their guests. Everything in the whole property is designed and executed to the highest standard. We were thoroughly impressed and can’t wait for the opportunity to visit again.
What an amazing little spot!! We stayed the night as we had been bought a gift to visit the vineyard just 5 minutes up the road. The rooms are so nicely decorated and so cosy (the bed was unreal and we had the best nights sleep). There were even little added touches like complimentary baked goods in the room! Staff were super friendly also! Holmfirth is just a £5 taxi away where there was lots of bars/pubs/restaurants to have a drink and food. Would definitely recommend ☺️
The room was super cozy and comfortable. Really beautiful! The staff were genuine and accommodating. The breakfast and dinner were so good. Everything about it was superb.
A brilliantly well-appointed cottage, with everything you could need. Beautiful woods on the doorstep, where we saw deer, all manner of birds and a short walk to beautiful reservoir and surroundings. Dog-friendly and the top floor library room is delightful.
Honestly….. Everything, the room was stunning and spotlessly clean. Log burner just set the scene for a cosy night in, nestled within the stunning Peak District. The interior decor was relaxing and the exposed beams added to the cosy vibe.
Fantastic location, brilliant hosts very helpful and friendly. We had a wonderful time and will definitely be back. Hot tub and sauna are a brilliant touch we loved it! Very clean, lovely decor. And close to Holmfirth with great bus access.
