Great rural location, close to Glossop and other neighbouring Peak villages. Good facilities and very spacious for a couple (could be overcrowded with anymore). Sweets were a nice touch and the property overall was nice and tidy.

Thank you for a wonderful stay. Everything was perfect. Gorgeous accommodation, just what was needed after a very long drive from North Wales. The suite had everything guests could possibly need and lovely little touches from the coffee pods to the robes. Outstanding cleanliness, quality of the furnishings and communication. Lovely cottage in a pretty location with outlooks over the fields. Had everything we needed. Only stayed for 3 nights but parked the car in the laneway and didn't get back in till we left. We walked everywhere - but we both like walking. There's even a pub with decent food at the top of the laneway and a bus stop, though we didn't use that. Clare the owner was quick to respond to our messages.
Beautiful cottage, Cosy, little place with all facilities needed, perfect for what we needed. We had no issue with parking. Round the corner from the village. Perfect for reaching other corners of Peak District. Great location and great price.
Great cozy and original lodge located in Hayfield with access to public transport, restaurants and hiking routes. Easy to find with amazing customer service and for a quick and casual getaway to nature. Do not expect luxury stay, but I would highly recommend it if you want to have a British experience in all senses. Very clean accommodation and kind staff.
We liked everything, the cottage is absolutely charming and set amongst beautiful scenic surrounds and gardens. The resident peacocks are very friendly and put on a daily show for us. The cottage is well equipped even a washing machine and drying racks. Location is tranquil and peaceful but within easy reach by car to all the surrounding towns and villages. Would highly recommend.

Absolutely gorgeous cottage in an idyllic location.
It was clean, comfortable, and so very peaceful.
Loved being surrounded by all the birds and squirrels - even if a peacock did give me a heart attack by staring through the window!

Well stocked kitchen with all the essentials, and lots of cushions and blankets around the cottage to keep cosy under in the evening.
There were only 2 of us so loads of space. It would have still felt spacious with 4 people.
We had an amazing stay at Gamekeepers Cottage,its a very cozy and lovely cottage,the location was great away from the usual traffic, in the middle of the wild life.The cottage is fully equipped with everything you need. We loved the chimney,not to mention the variety of books and cd's..Ohhh almost forgot you've earned some points from my little girl she enjoyed the puzzles she found .
Highly recommended, definitely we'll come again.
