We had a wonderful overnight stay at this property. Linda was a fabulous host who made both us and our dog very welcome as did Maisie(the dog) and Colin ( the cat). Our room was clean and comfortable with glorious views. The breakfast was exceptional with muesli , fresh fruit salad and creme fraiche to start, followed by a full cooked breakfast, with fresh bread and home made jams, not to mention a freshly brewed cafetiere of coffee. . Would thoroughly recommend a stay in this lovely quirky cottage with an interesting history. Thank you Linda for your hospitality.

I do love going to golden cross and never have any problems unfortunately on this occasion the lodge we stayed in seamed very tired and unloved front needed to be shut hard to insure it was closed paint coming off of wall skirting boards need new paint bathroom had a very bad damp smell the hot tub cover was damaged and the cover holder was broken and there was only one wardrobe for all of us to share
We had a wonderful stay at Golden Cross Holiday Park over Christmas. The Lodge was so much bigger than expected and was so well maintained. The beds were comfortable and bedrooms spacious. The kitchen was perfect and stocked with everything we could’ve needed, including a full size fridge and freezer. Each lodge felt so private with the tactile use of hedges and fences. We never heard or saw the neighbours. The hot tub was a fab addition to our stay that got used a lot. Any interaction with the staff was personable and lovely.
Nice little holiday village, each house had parking was some privacy. Stayed in the honeymoon cottage was nice to be a little away from everyone else. Pillows were good, bathroom was nice and clean, good little kitchen facility. Hot tub was great!
This is our second time visiting and we have loved both so much. I would say I preferred the lodge before but the hot tub was a bit more secluded but that’s just a preference. The cabins are so clean and well managed, and the location is perfect as local towns are not too far away.
The holiday park was quiet and peaceful and the cabin was a good size for a family of 4. The kitchen was modern and the shower was powerful and a good size! The hot tub was lovely :)
Beautiful, welcoming cottage - it genuinely feels like someone's home, rather than a holiday cottage. Very comfortable and well-equipped. Child/dog proof private garden. The owners are welcoming and helpful.
