Gorgeous little cottage tucked away off the road, very cosy and clean. Welcoming hosts left us little treats on arrival and were always on hand to help if needed. Log fire was extra special. Cottage was always warm even in the couple of awful weather days we had. Located near to supermarket, dog walks and takeaways as well as a short drive to pubs and cafes.
Oak Cottage is in a great location close to Great Torrington town centre, yet very quiet with lovely countryside views. The kitchen / bathroom is very well equipped with everything you need for your stay and it felt like home from home. The private garden is a real bonus to enjoy in the fine weather. Spotlessly clean with comfortable beds.
Absolute gem of a place. Such a gorgeous little cottage, lovely little quirks and very cosy. My gf, daughters and frenchies all loved staying there. Great value for money
Lovely, cosy cottage with absolutely everything you could possibly need during your stay. The children’s room was even kitted out with books and toys to keep our girls occupied. The owners live next door and were so kind and helpful and even provided a generous food and drink basket on arrival. Great location also being a few minutes walk to local pubs and shops. Couldn’t recommend this house more highly!

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at The Hermitage. It is a lovely cosy cottage in a beautiful garden in the centre of Torrington with plenty of walks on the doorstep. We loved all the little welcoming touches in the cottage. Would definitely stay again.
We stayed in the cottage for one night when doing the Devon Coast to Coast bike ride. The cottage was very close to both M&S at the BP garage and Morrisons so buying food was easy even for someone gluten free. The cottage was very warm and cosy (very comfy sofa) and had space for us to lift 4 bikes inside and not get in the way.
