Brilliant location. Just at the edge of hawkshead. Lovely village very friendly staff in the pubs and shops. Lots of diferent walks to do. Food ar the b+b was excellent and room spotless and comfortable. We were made very welcome.

Cottages are perfect for travellers who enjoy feeling cosy and independent in the countryside. Usually small, traditionally built houses, cottages spread across one or two floors, making them great for families, or holidays with a little more privacy.
Beautiful building and interior, very clean, cozy room with tea and coffee, very comfortable beds, amazing view. Our dog settled down really well, and for the first time! Breakfast and dinner were lovely, fresh and tasty.. Great beer too! We went for a couple of walks nearby, so a very good location.
Of course the location is the very best. As an experienced mountain hiker I have stayed in many mountain lodges and such. This hotel was en epic experience. That is if you are looking for overnight stay with proper food and drink and a nice bed, but isn`t to much into luxurious rooms and high class restaurants. The proprietor was an amazing and serviceminded fellow.
Brilliant location in the Lakes countryside with excellent views - an old building but room comfortable with modernised bathroom. Seemed a bit understaffed but the staff there worked hard and did a good job.

Lovely location. It was raining and dark when we arrived but was a lovely cozy and welcoming place to stay. Easy to get to via the 516 bus from Ambleside if you plan the timings in advance. Very nice room with a great selection of tea and coffee.
I loved my room. On the small side but super cosy and clean with lovely view. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Welcoming atmosphere and lovely views from the lounge.
