Fabulous for our group of 8 women golfers. Plenty of showers for 8 adults. No queuing before going out. Comfortable living room and very well equipped kitchen. Fun games room downstairs to entertain ourselves. Good outside sitting area and garden. Cheryl was a brilliant host and provided us with drying racks for our wet golfing gear. Great for family groups if over 8 people.

We booked the property especially because of the hot tub …and it didn’t disappoint .. after a long drive from Cornwall it was the perfect place to relax. There is a local town nearby if you need any supplies. A great base to enjoy the Lake District ! Thank you for our stay

The location in the small village of Great Clifton is quiet and charming. I was pleasantly surprised that not once did we see a crowd of roistering boozers, to be honest. The rooms were clean, and the breakfasts were hearty! The dining room has a lovely ambience and decor. The staff are professional, warm, and hardworking people who are excellent with children, and very responsive to guests’ requests for help. Being locals, their knowledge of the Lake District and local bus timetables, etc., came in handy as well.

The hotel is in a good location nearby to Keswick…the hotel is clean and comfortable whilst offering great value for money. The restaurant has a wide variety of choice with outside dining domes which offer a romantic touch. Ultimately the staff make the hotel experience…staff are welcoming and are very knowledgeable about activities to do in the local area whilst providing a professional service. The waitresses are an absolute credit to the hotel, even during busy times they were accommodating and polite.
