Berwyn Shepherds Hut, hotel in Glyn-Ceiriog

Offering garden views, Berwyn Shepherds Hut is an accommodation located in Wrexham, 25 km from Whittington Castle and 25 km from Horseshoe Pass.

I bought my boyfriend the aqueduct canoeing experience as a gift for Christmas so we booked the shepherds hut for our stay. What a glorious corner of the earth! Waking up to the sound of the little creek that runs past the hut & the sound of the sheep is so relaxing. You have no signal so you have a few days away from hectic modern life. The views are absolutely stunning & the stars at night are amazing as there’s no light pollution! You can cozy up by the fire pit & even toast a few marshmallows. Laura was so lovely & helpful & I thank her for sharing her little paradise with us. I would highly recommend the shepherds hut if you’re in the area & wanting a few days “off grid”.

The house was immaculate and had modern facilities throughout. The situation was perfect, yards away from an excellent pub, 200 yrds or so from town centre shops, pubs and cafes. I would certainly use this cottage again.

Good breakfast although a wider choice of cereals & fruit would have been good. Pleasant room - coffee machine a nice touch. Spacious bathroom although shower a bit cozy.

The staff were extremely friendly and attentive. The room was spotlessly clean and had everything you could want. I had an excellent night's sleep. The mattress was very comfortable, and the pillows were very soft.. The view from our window was beautiful and the only sound to be heard was the sheep. Totally idyllic.

Lovely friendly welcome from every staff member we met . The property is in a beautiful area and it is very well presented. The room even though advertised as a ‘cosy double ‘ was perfectly big enough and had everything one could possible need . The tea/coffee tray and mini bar was stocked with plenty of choice and very welcomed added treats …best we’ve ever come across !! Iron and iron board was a great touch . Breakfast was fantastic too !!

Great hotel and value for money. Bar was lovely to sit in and the food was also brilliant. We had staff member Poppy see is into the hotel and she was really nice and friendly. Had the superior family room which was a good size, cosy and clean. There was a beer garden that looked lovely to sit in but the weather was a bit wet and cold, so we didn't really use it, but was there if needed. Would recommend if you're doing a quiet / chilled get away.
