We loved the Holly Cottage! The entire space was very welcoming. The bed and bedding were comfortable, the living room was cozy after a long day out, and the kitchen was well-outfitted. The hosts did an excellent job on decor (so many small details to notice!) and provided for all our needs. We particularly appreciated the washing machine and drying rack, since we spent a lot of time hiking in wet conditions. The location was ideal for us - quiet but close to a market and the main road. We enjoyed walking through the town. As a bonus, there is a wonderful bakery steps from the front door.

The property was clean, in a great location for day trips to Oban and Fort William, and in a beautiful setting. The owners were helpful, they had lots of resources (maps, etc) available- and they had clear instructions for everything at the cottage and how to leave the cottage upon checkout.

What can I say about Oakwood Cottage. The location was perfect, Glencoe is special place for myself and family. The welcome pack was a lovely touch, amazing, really appreciated this. The Cottage was clean and comfortable. The log burner was great. David, the owner was very helpful also. Can't say anything bad about the cottage, it was perfect. The morning of our stay, the host was in contact to provide check-in information. Upon arrival, we were met by the most pleasant couple to give us our keys and show us around our accommodation. The house was in exceptional shape, very clean with all of the amenities we could need (toiletries, washer/dryer, dishwasher, refrigerator, TV equipped with various streaming services, and even a Nespresso machine!). All of the beds were very comfortable and the family room was warm and inviting, with an electric fireplace that made it all the more cozy. The kitchen was amazing and worked well for us to make breakfast the next morning! The house was about a 10 minute walk from Ballachulish, where we were able to pick up a few bits from the Co-Op and had a delicious meal at Laroch Restaurant and Bar (recommended to us by our hosts). Just a stone's throw away from Loch Leven and a short drive from Glencoe for hiking, the location is amazing as well!
