Farlam House Barn, a property with a garden, is located in Farlam, 17 km from Thirlwall Castle, 30 km from Housesteads Roman Fort, as well as 41 km from Brougham Castle. The property is around 46 km from Whinfell Forest, 19 km from University of Cumbria and 19 km from Cumbria County Council. The property is non-smoking and is set 45 km from Askham Hall.

It was a peaceful and idyllic location and a very comfortable and cozy barn conversion, beautifully done and homely. The neighbours were friendly (they showed one of our children the frogspawn in their garden pond) and we felt comfortable being there. Recommend this place for families (there is a lovely collection of children's books) and people who like peace and quiet. Close to Brampton for coffee and cake (The Capon Tree was friendly with delicious scones) and RSPB Geltsdale was minutes away by car for any birdwatchers. The garden was also a little haven of garden birds.

There was plenty of space considering we had an energetic dog with us, and everything we needed was supplied. In a fab location so didn’t need to go far to see plenty of history and scenery. We also loved the wood burner in the evenings.

Our second visit. The facilities are great, it's dog friendly and having an enclosed garden for the dog was great. The area is full of good dog walks and lovely countryside and so many dog-friendly cafes, restaurants and places to go. We'll be back as it's a great base for all that the North Lakes has to offer

Location ideal for exploring local area. As we were there during xmas period, we did not do too much travelling around. Wanted a place where we could just chill out over this time. Quaint, tiny cottage, just enough for us.

A wonderful stay. Alyson is a charming host and has put a great deal of thought into making this a really comfortable place to stay. Great communication before we arrived, including an offer to book us a table for dinner as they get busy! Many thoughtful details in the room, fantastic shower. Delicious breakfast, great ingredients.

We really enjoyed our stay here in this cosy accommodation. The owners were very friendly and welcoming. The room was comfortable. I'm vegan and gluten free so I always worry I won't find anything to eat but I needn't have worried here. They had everything I could want, from vegetarian sausages and bacon to gluten free bread, muesli, plant milk and spread. Great location for doing Hadrian's Wall. All in all a fantastic stay.

The staff were really friendly and helpful, they even got in touch to say the restaurant was getting booked up and did we want a table for tea. The food was great for both an evening meal and breakfast, good variety and very accommodating for those with dietary requirements and the location was ideal for exploring the fantastic countryside, in particular Hadrians wall. We stayed in a family room and it was spotless. The beds were really comfy and the kids loved the bunk beds.
