The cottage is very tastefully decorated and felt very homely. We had everything we needed and more. The bed and sofas/chairs were comfortable, and the kitchen is fitted out with all the mod cons. The view from the front bedroom overlooks the canal, it is a very pretty location, near to a friendly pub that serves tasty food. It is in a good position to explore much of the local area, we went to the Trentham estate, Bakewell, Leek, The Roaches, Ashbourne and Tissington We had a slight problem with the heating due to the timer and the clocks going back to GMT, but the owner was very caring and solved the issue straight away.
