Perfect space for a family break away. Pub next door is great for food and drink. Ideal for a lazy couple of days away or long walks if that's your thing. Staff are friendly. Lodge has everything you would really need. Would definitely come back.

We had a really lovely stay at Bank End. The cottage had everything we needed for a comfortable stay and more. Everything practical was catered for, well stocked kitchen and utility room, comfortable beds, log burner with all you need for a fire, plus the lovely extras such as the very extensive book shelves, record player, board games and info on local attractions and walks. The cottage is very well located for nearby beauty spots and has a lovely quiet garden. We highly recommend Bank End and would definitely stay here again.
Cottages are perfect for travellers who enjoy feeling cosy and independent in the countryside. Usually small, traditionally built houses, cottages spread across one or two floors, making them great for families, or holidays with a little more privacy.

Awesome historical house in remote cumbrian countryside. Massive bedrooms ,all en suite . Massive hot tub . All equipment for a four couple stay . Wonderfully spaces and decor .
What an excellent weekend break we enjoyed at the country house.
Very private and picturesque.
Rooms are spacious and clean.
Bathrooms were modern with showers and some rooms having roll top baths.
The hot tub is an added bonus along with the bbq.
The host is very accommodating and understanding.
We had zero issues during our stay and throughly enjoyed every moment of it.
Highly recommended and wouldn't think twice booking it in the near future.

Exceptional accommodation with everything we could ask for! Cosy and peaceful, we particularly enjoyed the little sitting room upstairs with the turntable and the board games, as well as the log burner in the living room downstairs. The cottage also offers nice views and a great location for exploring the nearby beaches. Our little puppy had a great time as well and we will definitely visit again if we look for another short break in the area!

Beautiful location with lots of walks on your doorstep, we barely used the car all weekend. Cottage had everything we could want, lovely and cosy, comfortable bed, the shower is AMAZING! Well equipped and very clean kitchen. Solid choice of board games, lots of nice personal touches. Stephanie was a very attentive host, checking we had arrived safely etc. Genuinely cannot recommend this place enough, especially for the price!
