Well, Little Haven, it really was. We absolutely loved our stay there. We felt at home from the very first second we walked in. Dylan, the host, was very supportive and very professional. The cottage was exceptionally clean, well equipped, 5 minutes walk from the seafront, on main street but very quiet at night. If I could, I would go back there today. Thanks

Cottages are perfect for travellers who enjoy feeling cosy and independent in the countryside. Usually small, traditionally built houses, cottages spread across one or two floors, making them great for families, or holidays with a little more privacy.
The location was superb, a pretty village in picturesque countryside.
The staff were beyond friendly. So welcoming and attentive during our stay. Nothing was too much trouble.
The breakfast had a good selection of choices. The kippers were delicious. I had them every morning. The full English looked good and well cooked.
The food was excellent - both the evening meal and the generous breakfast. The room was clean and cosy. There was an air conditioning unit so we could get a bit more warmth when it got a bit cold - we visited in November. It’s not far to Chillingham Castle & Alnwick.
This is a picture postcard English Inn! So cosy and welcoming and also a good food Inn. Breakfast was excellent and we ate in the restaurant on the night we arrived. Delicious food! Loved our room, with dressing gowns, fresh milk in the fridge etc.
Very friendly and flexible staff who even laid on breakfast for us earlier than normal so that we could get to Lindisfarne with enough time to look around before the tide came in! Would love to stay here again!
Absolutely everything!
Sally was the perfect host
Breakfast was beautiful
Room was of an excellent size and the decor gorgeous.
Set in the Northumberland countryside but only 10 mins to Alnwick castle.
I'd move in permanently if she'd have me 😀
Wonderful welcoming upmarket pub in the countryside. Breakfast and evening meals exceptional. Lovely cozy pub with lots of locals and visitors alike. One of the nicest pubs we have ever stayed at.
A wonderful place to stay! The staff were extremely helpful and friendly (without being intrusive), the room was quiet and comfortable, the pub/ restaurant was very attractive and elegantly presented, the food was top notch, the location was great for a quiet get-away in the Northumberland countryside (and we were even treated to a very nice bottle of wine). : )
Sally went out of her way to accommodate our late arrival. The bed was exceptionally comfortable and the room and bathroom spacious. It is an old stone country house with old traditional furniture. Modern bathroom.
Breakfast superb.
Located in a quiet village, greeted by the host who made us very welcome. Excellent breakfast each day.
Room was very quiet, only the noise of the birds could be heard.
Would recommend this as a cosy, quiet and very pleasant base to explore the wonderful surrounding area Northumberland has to offer.
