Frith Farm House Cottages, hotel in Egerton

Frith Farm House Cottages consists of a small collection of cottages located on an old farm in the North Kent countryside.

Only a couple of nights which felt like a week away. Just superb in every way, comfortable, stunning surroundings. Slept like a log. To be greeted by the hosts dogs in the morning, which was a nice surprise. Having the heated private pool to ourselves was spectacular. A proper home from home. We will definitely book again.

Cackle hill lakes, Kingfisher Lodge, hotel in Egerton

Boasting lake views, Cackle hill lakes, Kingfisher Lodge features accommodation with a patio, around 18 km from Leeds Castle.

This has to be one of the worst places I’ve ever stayed. Looks striking as you arrive and see it on the lake but the minute we opened the door the smell was awful, there is a tank which collects the toilet deposits behind the hut and the bathroom absolutely stinks and it flows throughout the cabin. I had to leave once it got dark and went back in the morning. Nothing luxury about the cabin whatsoever, very basic. Furnishings in bedroom very dated . Dried residue in sugar canister . Garden chairs were sodden and mouldy, table was filthy and all the decking veranda was covered in bird poo. You couldn’t cast out properly for fishing due to a giant tree obstructing the area. It really does not justify the price at all.

Remote location but that added to its quiet appeal. A farm converted into a wedding venue with several beautifully appointed double rooms or cottages, with the best breakfast I’ve had in years. If the orange juice had been freshly squeezed I’d have scored it 11/10

The location is idyllic, secluded and peaceful. The accommodation was absolutely fantastic as were the staff. The food was simply Devine and the restaurant caters for types of diners eg vegan, vegetarian etc. nothing is too much trouble here and we would highly recommend people to stay here.
