Bank Top is situated in Earl Sterndale, 20 km from Chatsworth House, 30 km from Alton Towers, and 40 km from Capesthorne Hall. It was a real fantastic and awesome accommodation in the middle of the Peak district. One of the best accommodations we had in many years. Two bedrooms with a lot of space, with high quality furniture and thick fluffy towels. And it was warm and cosy when we arrived. Everything was lovingly furnished and arranged, e.g. slate coasters in the shape of hearts in the dining room. And I especially enjoyed having a coffee machine for a good morning coffee. It is a good start for walks for example to "Stanadge Edge", "Padley gorge" or to "the roaches and lud church". And there is a great bookstore nearby (High Peak Bookstore & Cafe). There are only little things to improve this fantastic accommodation, we would recommend a toilet brush and hooks for hanging hand towels (n the bathroom with the shower). And on top of that, perhaps walking maps and advice on restaurants and places of interest nearby to explore and to get to know the Peak district with all its facets. Thanks for everything, we would love to come back.

We loved the warmth, cosyness, views, facilities, it was absolutely perfect! It was perfect perfect perfect! We were very wet when we returned home each day from our walks but the cottage was warm and dried put our clothes quickly. The kitchen was a dream. The bathroom was like a spa. I was sad to leave! The location (between various points on the map) was fantastic. The only negative point is that its already booked up for when we want to return!!!

This was a self catering cottage in a beautiful , quiet location. Easy access to Buxton, Ashbourne, Hartington and several trails to walk. The cottage was cosy and had all the basic necessities with access to a washing machine and dryer. The WiFi worked well with three of us using it at the same time. Views from the windows were spectacular. I bumped into the host once and she was concerned that we had found everything to our satisfaction, which we had.

Stayed for three nights and could have stayed longer. Lovely cottage in a quiet spot, located well to many must-see spots in the area. Four adults and a dog, we were all very comfortable. Clean and stocked well with all essentials, including logs and kindling to get the fires going. Good communication with the owner, Hazel - we look forward to coming again soon.
