Family story and personal touches, Georgia couldn't do enough for us. Cozy hut, secluded, overlooking lovely farmland and scenery, loved the poultry visiting us, cats, dogs, horses etc.. additionally had private bar that absolutely made my partners stay.

Cottages are perfect for travellers who enjoy feeling cosy and independent in the countryside. Usually small, traditionally built houses, cottages spread across one or two floors, making them great for families, or holidays with a little more privacy.

Good food. One time they gave me the wrong specials menu , but refused to take the extra payment when they realised their mistake.
I hardly know Derbyshire: the surrounding countryside is beautiful, and such contrasting landscapes close by...driving down the main A515 over the tops gives wide ranging views, but winding round the side roads to the west there are very steep sided valleys and odd abrupt hills
Friendly staff, cozy bar and restaurant. Comfy bed. Clean with large bed, and bathroom.
Food and drinks prices reasonable. Not too much choice on the menu but what we had was prepared and cooked well. Breakfast was preordered and cooked very well.
Great location, lots of beautiful countryside nearby and interesting towns close too, I visited Ashbourne, Bakewell and had a lovely walk at Dovedale. Staff were friendly and helpful, lots of free parking :)
