We loved staying with Sandra, Martin and Nellie. They were full of information about things to see and do, as well as the local area, which was interesting! Great walk to the beach, look out point and back!

Exmoor Hideaway, hotel in Culbone

Featuring garden views, Exmoor Hideaway provides accommodation with a garden and a patio, around 36 km from Dunster Castle.

Great location, a short drive a few minutes from the local, superb pub (Black Venus Inn), a bit too hilly to walk after recovering from major surgery! Dogs allowed, the hosts and children came out and made a fuss of our 1yr old malinois puppy and she loved staying on the farm as well. There's lots of good walks around the area (best follow all-trails app) and really superb facilities, which all looked very new and fresh? The welcome pack has some really good quality stuff, including coffee pods and cookies, etc.

Everything was wonderful, the property, the hosts, the grounds, the added little details, milk on arrival, dressing gowns, slippers. The place was pristine ! Yes the place is a little drive away from shops etc, but, this is just what I wanted. It was so peaceful & relaxing. I would highly recommend xx

It’s a lovely room in a romantic setting. There are several short walks that get you down to the beach where there is a small shop, good pub and excellent coffee house doing good full and alternative breakfasts. Great base for hikers.

Fabulous quirky suite in an old house. The room is large, enough space for a supersize 4 poster bed, bath tub, fire place and small closet with toilet. There is access to a good rain shower. The room does look over the sea (Bristol Chanel with Wales in the background) but windows in a house this age are not large so it's not a view thats always in the background. Good products/shampoos/biscuits/coffee. Lovely romantic environment surrounded by extensive and varied gardens near good pub and cafe at Porlock weir.
