Gorgeous setting and very memorable stay, will certainly be staying here again. Looking forward to trying a cream tea in the courtyard garden and re-acquainting ourselves with the cats. We were very well looked after.
Cottages are perfect for travellers who enjoy feeling cosy and independent in the countryside. Usually small, traditionally built houses, cottages spread across one or two floors, making them great for families, or holidays with a little more privacy.
Beautiful location, architecture and general ambience. So serene, idyllic really! Staff were super friendly and attentive. Breakfast was top notch too! Would highly recommend for somebody seeking a quiet retreat.

Have read other reviews complaining about dog mess. We were there for 3 days and didn't see any mess.
We saw the dog out in the courtyard once. The owner was there with it and it was no issue to us. Owner was very friendly.
Easy walk into town and would recommend the White Hart Inn for food and drinks.
Excellent food in the restaurant, dinner and a lovely cooked breakfast in the morning, along with the sunday papers to read!
The restaurant/bar has a lovely cosy, light feel to it and we enjoyed a cuppa of tea in there when we first arrived.
The staff were very friendly and were very accommodating when we asked to have an early supper as well as allowing us to check in early as the hotel was not busy this weekend.
Beautiful location, amazing hosts, wonderful wood fired hot tub, super comfy giant bed and just a perfect romantic retreat.
