The location was amazing. Perched on a hill on farmland above the village of Muasdale not far from Campbeltown. Overlooking the sea, looking over to the isles of Ghia, Jura, Cara and even Islay. At night in the hottub, after watching the sun go down, then looking up at the stars, watching the lights from ships in the distance and even watching lighthouses flash from as far away as Ireland.
It was so peaceful, with very little light pollution.
Heaven.
Catherine, the owner met us on arrival, explained everything in the well equipped Shepherds hut we stayed in. When we went for dinner on our first night she light the Woodburner that heated the hottub. This was a wonderful way to end out day, so relaxing.

Very comfortable and relaxing. Good for the dogs. Lovely 20 min walk into Tarbert through the woods.
Comfy bed.
Cottages are perfect for travellers who enjoy feeling cosy and independent in the countryside. Usually small, traditionally built houses, cottages spread across one or two floors, making them great for families, or holidays with a little more privacy.
The house is freshly redecorated with modern funishings and very thought through details. extremely cosy and pleasant! The hosts are doing fantastic job and are very nice couple!
Ronachan was an amazing gem of a find, in a beautiful location, peaceful and remote but not too far from the main road. The room was immaculate and beautifully designed, comfy bed and excellent shower!
Kat and Andrea were brilliant hosts and looked after us really well. The lounge area with fireplace was great for chilling.
The biggest highlight for us was the food! These guys are very talented chefs and cooked one of the best meals we have ever had, plus the breakfast was incredible!
This was an amazing little oasis in western Scotland! Loved everything. All was new, spotlessly clean and the bathroom - WOW!! Like a luxury city hotel! And the lounge had a cosy wood burner and soft lights. Made for a very welcoming little place to kick back.
The cottage is clean and tidy and much nicer than the photos show. The furniture and decor suit the house, from the spacious, characterful sitting room to the cosy bedroom and its very comfortable bed. Sitting in the garden in the evening sunshine next to the stream was a lovely way to finish two fantastic days on Kintyre and Gigha.
