Brilliant staff. They were really nice and warm and made us feel very welcome.
We ate at the restaurant which was incredible. The chef clearly takes a lot of pride in their work because the dining experience was exceptional.

During the week, The Old Ship Inn is a picturesque traditional pub and on Friday and Saturday nights it transforms into a lively venue for karaoke, DJs, and live bands until late into the night.

Fantastic place to stay, so close to the cove. The chalet has everything anyone could need to have the perfect holiday. The kitchen has all the gadgets and utensils, all high spec.
The place is spotless in every area and has high quality furnishings including sofas, chairs and beds to ensure it feels home from home.
Communication with the owner is quick, attentive and accommodating.

Cottages are perfect for travellers who enjoy feeling cosy and independent in the countryside. Usually small, traditionally built houses, cottages spread across one or two floors, making them great for families, or holidays with a little more privacy.
Very comfortable room and good bathroom facilities. Lovely Edwardian country house. We didn't have time to look around the gardens but would love to on another visit. Host very welcoming. First time offered coffee creamer as well as milk pots with the tea & coffee sachets. Bottles of water also provided. No time for breakfast but it smelt delicious!
Beautiful house and garden. Friendly, welcoming owner and staff. Rooms had everything you would want,Beds super-comfortable and cosy. Had read reviews about room 5 being noisy from pipes which wasn't the case at all. Breakfast was perfect and served with a big smile! Cannot find anything to criticise - it really was a perfect stay!
lovely old country house accommodation, immaculately cleaned, very comfortable, nice selection of tea, biscuits etc in the room, Really nice, clean, bright bathroom. very welcoming manager and staff . A very good choice of breakfasts, all cooked to order, using great quality locally sourced produce. Little touches like an individual cafetiere that actually had a good amount of coffee in it were fantastic. Lovely garden and a pool.
The house is fabulous. All bedrooms are comfortable and nicely finished.
The kitchen is cosy, as is the sitting room.
The children adored having their own space in the Movie Room.
There was plenty of room for a large family to spread out in.
The gardens are pretty and tranquil...we loved the secret garden at the far end.
It’s a beautiful house with lovely gardens. It’s close to Hardys Cottage, Dorchester & surrounding attractive countryside.
For an evening meal, the Sun Inn is 10 minutes away on foot & a good pub.
