Cottages are perfect for travellers who enjoy feeling cosy and independent in the countryside. Usually small, traditionally built houses, cottages spread across one or two floors, making them great for families, or holidays with a little more privacy.
The warm and friendly welcome. The bar area is cosy, whilst our room was comfortable and perfect for 1 night. We very much enjoyed dinner, which was excellent, as indeed was the cooked breakfast. Food is recommended. We had been looking for overnight accommodation close to the A1 and the Tollemache Arms was perfect, and made a change from the more generic hotel chains. The pub is about 3 miles from the main road and located in a small village. There was ample parking in the pub car park. We look forward to staying again.
A comfortable stay. Welcoming staff and clean rooms and shower/toilet. Very good restaurant with excellent food. The traditional English Breakfast will last you the whole day!
The restaurant was really lovely. The tables very beautifully laid and and a welcoming real fire and cosy seating area as you walked in . Food was well presented and tasty and value for money. The room was clean , neat , comfortable enough for one nights stay and the bathroom adequate and clean . Nothing fancy but fine .
Lovely evening meal that was freshly cooked. Service excellent and a very ambient atmosphere. Very cosy with a log fire.
