Living among the locals up in the hills away from the main town centre. Stunning scenery very peaceful and comfy. The owners provided delicious snacks, champagne and milk and plenty of wood for the lounge fire and hot tub. Also great instructions and advice on local attractions 🙏😁

Boasting a spa bath, Summerhill Cottage is situated in Windermere. The 4-star holiday home has garden views and is 8.5 km from World of Beatrix Potter. There is a sun terrace and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking.

The house is stunning, beamed with low ceilings, tons of charm and a quirky design that made my family and I smile. If you want modern, look elsewhere! The children loved the spiral staircase, being able to loop around the house and play hide and seek. The shape lends itself to such antics ❤️ . There is a lovely ‘natural den’ in the garden, bottom left corner through the Laurel… Perfect amount of space, so grandpa could sit in the snug and others could play games and or chat in other areas.. we never felt crowded. We had a couple of issues that were put right by a text and someone coming out within 6hrs. The view is worth the drive up and down, indeed the drive itself has amazing views! Four of us cooked for nine on one occasion, so I know the kitchen works well.. not large, but most things are there. Oddly, the kitchen has no electric whisk. All communication was friendly and professional, thank you for being so prompt when we ask for assistance ❤️

The staff at the Hare & Hounds were extremely friendly and accommodating. They communicated very well with us especially given we were arriving late. They were delightful to our dog and made her feel very welcome. The Inn is charming and beautifully decorated. Very cosy! Restaurant was excellent and we sat around the fireplace until 11 reading our books with a lovely glass of desert wine. Highly recommend the Inn. Great location for trail walking too.

Absolutely lovely little Inn. Very quiet location, beautiful bedroom and bathroom with large bath and shower. Nice decor. Breakfast was something to behold.! Beautiful fresh Artisan bread, fabulous muesli and full English or omelette etc etc all lovingly prepared. Great staff and lovely cosy bar/restaurant. Everything you need for a romantic get away. You'll need your sat-nav to get there but nice central location to explore the South Lakes.

Beautiful location with idyllic views from both front and back of the property. Very cozy pub with great food and vegetarian options (make sure to book for your stay as it does get busy!) Room was big, clean and had nice extra touches throughout. Loved the free standing bath in the very spacious bathroom. Can’t wait to stay again!
