The views from the kitchen are fantastic, Well equipped cottage has everything you need and more just bring food and wine. Anne and Graham fantastic hosts, couldn't do enough for us. Anne's bread is definitely a highlight of the stay. Very tranquil and relaxing. Close to Barnard Castle which has lots of shops for your supplies, note parking can be tricky as it is a very busy little town. You need to contact the hosts a few days before arrival, they ask for an arrival time so they can greet you. Note it states on booking .com there is no parking available, there is parking available.

Comfortable cottage with spacious living room and main bedroom. Didn't use smaller twin bedroom but it looked bright and welcoming. Good bath and shower with plenty of hot water (perfect after a day's walking in the wind and rain). Excellent location for our walks on The Pennine Way.

We loved the fresh bread, jam and breakfast cereals left for us in a very well stocked kitchen (self catered all week without needing to go out once). Cottages were quiet, very clean and comfortable with amazing views. The farm was tidy, well managed and full of nesting swallows in the barns. The icing on the cake was watching the six working sheepdogs each day and talking with the friendly (and very patient) Shepherd and Shepherdess. Will definitely be visiting again.

Cosy cottage, spacious, great location. The shower was great, bath even better and the beds were comfy. Use of an open fire was lovely and added to the country cottage feeling. The area was quiet and peaceful with the only noise coming from sheep nearby! complimentary cava was a bonus on arrival.
