Fantastic location in a quiet, tranquil area of natural beauty. The accommodation itself was incredibly tastefully presented and clean. Well equipped kitchen, comfortable bed, very cozy and welcoming set up all throughout. Truly felt like a home away from home. Hot tub was fantastic for star gazing on a cool winter night. Host was extremely helpful and quick to respond to all our queries. We loved it and can't wait to be back.

My 19yr old daughter, travelling on her own to Italy, had an unexpected stay at Amber Lodge with Anna after a long, stressful day of delays at Gatwick resulted in a cancelled flight and the sudden need to stay overnight. Having explained this during the booking process, Anna made me feel reassured that she'd take good care of my daughter and she made her feel welcome by putting flowers, food and treats in her apartment. Anna repeatedly communicated with me over my daughter's arrival and was really helpful with recommendations for taxi services and with directions. I am VERY grateful for Anna's kindness and compassion. What's more, my daughter thought it was a really lovely place to stay!

it’s a traditional English hotel, not a massive chain full of reps and commuters ignore the negative complaints about being dated, yes some bits are from the 1990’s but a slightly tarnished tap never bothered anyone what I did like was it seemed staffed by local people, and youngsters starting out in their working life, not trained clones just nice normal people

Hotel was nice and quiet, tucked away in the countryside. Staff were lovely and very accommodating. We didn't take advantage of the breakfast in the morning so can't comment on that, but it looked quiet when we went past.

this was a great place to celebrate my husbands 60th birthday as family could dine in with us comfortably for the evening. The kitchen, dining room and lounge were luxurious. The attention to detail was perfect. we loved the original features of the Lodge mixed in with the contemporary modern comfort. The underfloor heating was wonderful in December: it was very cosy. The beds were really comfortable and the bedding was gorgeously clean and comfortable. The bathroom was sumptuous.
