The staff we met, the Thai wife of the son of the owner and the young woman who served us dinner, were very friendly and helpful, as well as efficient. The food was good: quality ingredients, well cooked ( we had breakfast and just one dinner). The inn is very attractive, with historic features, and the surrounding gardens very pretty. We liked the location out in the countryside in the picturesque village of Bardwell.

Excellent breakfast, cooked to order. Cereal and yogurt , fruit juices, coffee and tea available. Had an evening meal which was very good. Olde world pub , pretty, set in fields nearby a pond and charming village. Walked to see the windmill , a bakery and a church. Our room was clean , comfortable bed , had a good night sleep. Clean towels offered the next day. Lovely , friendly staff.

It was a nice atmosphere. Plenty of old-fashioned charm. The building has lots of history. Staff were all excellent. Good breakfast. Remote location but in a nice village and the property had a nice cottage garden. There was always plenty of tea and milk in the room. Rooms serviced every day and nothing too much trouble. Really nice people.
