Very well presented, much bigger than expected and a nicely equipped kitchen.
Had a small issue with the property (not ours or the owners fault), but cottages.com (the host/ agent) sorted very promptly and very professionally on a Saturday morning! Would stay again!
Fantastic location. Very quiet. Lovely big river at the back and a balcony to view it; also another balcony at the front.
Set in a beautiful wooded valley, full of heritage. The old Ironworks was in the car park and could be easily viewed. Opposite was the Windermere and Haverthwaite Heritage Railway that went past several times a day. Good view, especially from the apartment but also it was not disturbing in any way - just a pleasure to see. The apartment was very modern, clean and had everything you needed for a holiday. Good WiFi too.
The property is very well presented with thoughtful touches. Perfect home away from home and a perfect spot for exploring the south lakes area. It’s definitely one of the best self catering places that we’ve stayed in.
