Superb stay, nothing was too much trouble for the team at The Riverside, very impressed. The quality of everything was excellent from accommodation to food to drinks. We stayed in a cabin in the garden, this was quirky and unusual, but it had everything you could want and the fixtures and fittings were well thought out. The bed was so very comfortable, one of the best I've slept in. Lovely stay, can't wait to go back.

All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The cooked breakfast was delicious, and the evening meal was excellent. Our room was small but cosy which we knew it would be when we booked it. The room was clean and tidy perfect for a one night stay. The location is lovely with the River Lugg flowing right past the hotel.

Sunday "lunch" at 6pm was excellent and the staff were exceptionally pleasant especially George, the manager. Room was warm and comfy with a great shower and set in a pretty terraced garden. The River Lugg flows by and there are tables to sit at and enjoy watching the water over a glass of something. Breakfast included some of the tastiest marmalade I have ever eaten. All in all an excellent inn and very good value for money.

The dinner was excellent and good value. Waiting staff at dinner were very professional and friendly. The pub is beautifully situated with the river running alongside and pretty terraced gardens. Rooms are quite expensive for the level of comfort - our cottage room, while very stylish, had no bath, two not very comfortable chairs, and tiny bedside tables. Top quality duvet, bed linen and towels. Good to have a fridge, though we had to turn it off during the night because it was noisy.

Attention to detail in all elements of our stay, efficiently managed by friendly staff. Food is expertly prepared and has some unusual and interesting combinations in keeping with the Inns deserved reputation for gastronomy. The emphasis is on quality locally sourced produce and homemade treats. This is an idyllic location, in the heart of the countryside with pleasant walking through an ancient landscape little changed for centuries.
