We Loved the hot tub (very spacious for 2 people). We loved the location… being in the heart of the wilderness. We had a meal at the plum and partridge which was also amazing.

Couldn't fault a thing. Very peaceful setting with just a few steps to the moors. Wonderful evening meal in the restaurant, all you could wish for at breakfast, lovely gardens and the hosts were lovely.

Location was brilliant to just stroll into Thirsk or the very good crown and anchor pub, the also good Fish n chip shop, but mostly the reason we were there was it was 15 minute walk to the brilliant Thirsk racecourse.
Cottages are perfect for travellers who enjoy feeling cosy and independent in the countryside. Usually small, traditionally built houses, cottages spread across one or two floors, making them great for families, or holidays with a little more privacy.
Great cottage very clean and well kept, neighbours friendly. Short walk to well stocked local shop and pub White Horse which served excellent food. Nearest town Hemsley had everything that you needed.
Superb location for exploring the North Yorkshire Moors. the cottage was nice and comfortable and very clean. all in all, an enjoyable stay. The "get you in" pack was also much appreciated.
The location was excellent, house welcoming with great facilities. Bedrooms great size, lovely cosy living room. Already booked to stay again. Village had a great pub The White Swan - best to book, food excellent.
The Old Post Office is a beautiful old property in a great location at the heart of Ampleforth. It’s a very large house with plenty of space and is well equipped with everything you need. Considering the size of the property it was very warm and cosy and a very comfortable stay.
Absolutely beautiful cottage, comfortable and extremely well equipped in a lovely village with stunning scenery on its doorstop, very handy for touring the area
