    We loved everything about Purves Cottage - it was cosy, comfortable and extremely well-equipped for our family with 3 young children. The facilities were fantastic (in particular the comfy beds, huge shower and dining kitchen). We really enjoyed our stay and would love to return on a future trip.

    We loved everything about the cottage. A home away from home! Perfectly located to explore the Borders and we wouldn’t stay anywhere else when we return to the area. The bathroom is absolutely beautiful. Beds very comfortable and kitchen exceptional. Thanks to our wonderful host for a lovely stay.

    Beautiful place cosy,clean and friendly staff ,dinner was amazing, breakfast was by far the best I've had all great quality especially the sausages 😋 our room was spacious and clean also ,bed was comfortable.

    Beautiful cottage with all you need! We should have stayed longer as I could imagine this cottage is ideal for families for at least a week. Lots of games and cosy fireplaces etc. Beautiful wine glasses - which is always a big plus for me!

    Self catering, location superb visited Kielder, Paxton house and great coastal walks along Berwick. The cottage was perfect in everyway couldn’t fault it and pet friendly, showed up other accommodations we have had the misfortune to visit. Great staging post for our return home to Shetland. Hope to return, big thank you.

    The cottage is spacious yet cosy and warm. The bathroom was especially nice, with a large shower and nice freestanding bathtub. The kitchen was great, and well-equipped, and had a nice large dining table; especially nice was the presence of a dishwasher.

    Our second stay at Purves and we just love everything about the cottage. Hosts are great and it’s a perfect place to relax. Facilities for children are also great with choice of high chairs and a very sturdy travel cot provided. The living room is beautiful and the kitchen is so well equipped. The bathroom is absolutely stunning. It feels like a little oasis! Weather didn’t allow us to use the garden but we certainly made use of the gorgeous fireplaces - an open fire in the living room and a wood burner in the kitchen. Just lovely.
