North Mains Cottage - Craigievar Castle, hotel in Alford

Situated in Alford in the Grampian region with Craigievar Castle nearby, North Mains Cottage - Craigievar Castle features accommodation with free private parking.

Beautiful location, it was perfect for what we wanted as a base. As the castle was closed for renovations we had complete peace and quiet. When we booked we were unsure about whether the Interior would be big enough but were very pleasantly surprised by how spacious it felt. We would totally recommend it.

deesideholidaycottages, hotel in Alford

Offering a garden and quiet street view, deesideholidaycottages is located in Dinnet, 27 km from Balmoral Castle and 8.4 km from Aboyne Golf Club.

Everything! The cottage is really nice, loved the fireplace on chilly evenings. Kitchen has all the equipment that we needed. Yvonne was always approachable and very helpful. The area is rather quiet and a bit off from the main touristic places which we liked. Dinnet is a great spot to start gorgeous tours through the national park which is stunningly beautiful- we totally fell in love with it.

The location is beautiful. So peaceful. The house is extremely comfortable like a home from home. It is one of my favourite places to stay ever! The hosts are fabulous. Thoughtful and provide so many little extras. It is a well equipped house. We were visiting family and were able to have them round for dinner because the house is welcoming with a well equipped kitchen. The cosy fireplaces make it sociable and pretty special. We all kept oversleeping because it is so quiet and comfortable.

If I just say everything was amazing then that is the bottom line, the welcome, the brownies, the kind thought of provisions in the fridge and hot water bottles, the hot tub, the garden, the ability to relax, the deers you could watch from the window, the open fire place, the gift shop and bistro in the village,…..
