I can't say anything bad about this property. 150% recommended for families. For us, there were 6 adults and 3 early teens Matt, the owner (I think), was brilliant with his messages when I needed to contact him

good countryside setting close enough to the M6/M74 to be a viable and enjoyable overnight stay on the way North or South. The food at night was very good indeed and unlike many hotels, breakfast was equally good. The bed was comfortable and the pillows nice and soft!

Beautiful country house hotel. DBB all in and a lovely clean comfortable room decorated and furnished with high end furnishings. Whats not to like?? You know a place is good when the locals eat and drink there. It was full of friendly locals. The staff couldn't do enough for you. The food was delicious. The breakfast was the best cooked full breakfast we've had in a very long time. Highly, highly recommend staying at the Heather Glen Country House Hotel. Did I mention the grounds are delightful too?

The location was lovely. We wanted somewhere to stay on our way to Scotland, and Heather Glen allowed us to do that in a little village set in the countryside, with plenty of walks and views. It was easy to find, and I think visitors won't be disappointed. The bar area meant we could have our dog with us all the evening, and there was also an area near the front door where you can relax in front of an open fire.
