Squirrel Barn, hotel in Abbots Bromley

Featuring an open-air bath and views of garden, Squirrel Barn is a holiday home situated in a historic building in Milwich, 19 km from Trentham Gardens.

Squirrel Barn is a fun and eccentric place which genuinely caters to the whole family (and more!). It is a beautiful old building filled with anything and everything you could think of, with wonderful little touches and a really warm feeling. We were in the area to visit Alton Towers and to be honest we had just as much fun at Squirrel Barn! The owners are fantastic - friendly, accommodating and excellent at contact. Thank you for having us!

The house was beautiful and very spacious. It felt very homely and the breakfast items were a special touch to the stay. We were gutted that we hadn't booked for longer but will be back for a longer stay in the future.

This self-catered cottage was in a lovely location on a farm. It was really nice waking to the sound of birds, particularly the blue tits at the feeder, and the lambs. The cottage was cosy and perfect as a location for exploring Staffordshire and neighbouring Derbyshire. It is very close to Cannock Chase and a good choice for walking and other outdoor activities. Becky the host was friendly and ensured I had everything I needed.

Erica gave us a really warm welcome and was keen to make sure we had everything we wanted. The cottage was cosy, warm and homely for the two of us, with really comfy bed and excellent shower. We parked right outside every night for a week. The village is lovely with a very good visitor trail - plus four pubs, a top Indian restaurant, a deli/cafe and a shop all in easy walking distance. Loads of attractions a little further afield. Thanks for an outstanding break.
