Really enjoyed our two night stay in this charming stone house with small garden. It's very handy for the centre of town; two of the bedrooms have views over the wonderful castle and there is a good amount of living space.

This is a fantastic and beautiful property, Jean-Philippe and his wife were excellent hosts providing us with recommendations in the local area to visit and eat. You can buy wine stored in their own personal cave which was a touch making the stay even more special. We were even invited to join the hosts and their friends for apéritif’s and a glass of wine to celebrate his wife’s birthday.
The property has a wonderful pool to use as you wish, with showers and toilet access just next to it. The gite was spacious with ample room for us and a kitchen. Our daughter loved the games room where we played ping pong and games every night with her.
The area is very close to Saumur along with other attractions such as local chateau’s. The guidebook the hosts have created is fantastic and is well worth following.
One of the best properties we have stayed at. 10 out of 10, we look forward to returning and recommending En Rou Libre to friends and family.

The little attention to details were so lovely. It really felt cosy, the pigeons in rafters next door really made it feel like you were at Hogwarts. The lighting in the property is really well thought out and the entertainment was on point! I wish I had stayed longer than one night, I will 100% be returning! Maybe with the kids next time.

Booked property at extra cost was not suitable 2 floors up & no outside space. Antonio offered another on ground level with access to oven etc next door, though not used. Roomy bathroom.

The actual building is beautiful. It is ornate with attention to detail on every wall ceiling and floor. The stained glass windows are breath taking. The gardens are well maintained and offered respite from the heat and were the perfect spot to share a bottle of bubbles. Highly recommend booking the spa for a couple of hours for a romantic night.
A warm reception from Sylvain who kindly collected our luggage from the car parked down the street due to my husband's reduced mobility. We had a lovely spacious room and the hotel itself and grounds were charming.
It's the little touches, like the toiletries, mini bar, coffee machine and teas in the room that impressed. The choice of food and beverages at breakfast was second to none! Wish we could have stayed longer!
The location was perfect for us, close enough to walk into Saumur but distant enough to be able to park safely and easily continue our journey. The place itself is beautiful with excellent facilities such as a hot tub and sauna. The owners are delightful - very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was perfect and served on the lovely terrace overlooking their gorgeous garden. Everything about the place was excellent and I’d highly recommended.
Alain was very attentive and helpful. The breakfast was outstanding and beautifully presented on the terrace. The bedroom was large, very well equipped, and very comfortable. There is a hot tub, a sauna and a massage table, but we arrived too late to make use of them. The house is in a quiet road a little drive from the city centre. Highly recommended.
Dreamful heavenly stay on a boat in River Loire. Its been an endlessly romantic stay, a perfect view a cozy bedroom, kitchen with appliences, a bottle of local wine as a welcome a safe car park and a very very welcome and gentle Owner.
