The host was so nice. The house needs some work. ...but the price reflects the property. Super cheap. 50 mins to the beach. Lots of wildlife. We saw a hare and a fox and a hog with babies.

The location is superb; not just in the immediate vicinity with the beautiful Etang, but also the ease of access to explore the wider area. Easy to find with SatNav and easy to shop for food in Sigean. We spent 15 nights here in October (the longest we have stayed anywhere) and never felt that there wasn't enough to keep us occupied. There are plenty of places outside to sit in the sun or shade and inside we were very comfortable in the evenings. We travelled in our van with a motorbike inside and appreciated the large, gated parking area to leave either the van or bike while we went out for the day.
Although in need of a small amount of TLC, this is a VERY special place and we felt very much at home. The peace and quiet is wonderful. Denys is a fabulous host; there is a lot of information on his website Anse de l'Olivier prior to a stay and while we were there he periodically checked on us via WhatsApp to make sure we were ok or give information on local events - perfect!
Not a problem for us, but to stay here the location needs to be respected and appreciated - for example, you need to drink bottled water.

The house is very cosy and interestingly decorated. Our room was nice, the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom, while small, worked well and had an excellent shower. We had both breakfast and dinner there and both were excellent. Above all, Jeanne and Dave made us feel very welcome and were attentive and considerate hosts.
Charming and cosy place to stay for the night. So very quiet so sleeping is perfect! Very nice kind owner who is eager to please. Comfortable bed, good shower.
Bertrand served us our plentiful breakfast outside in the gravel courtyard. Home made jams that were delicious. Will return next time that we pass through. Excellent value for money, perfect for us in every way.
An amazing place! I traveled by bicycle and even though I had booked a room, Bertrand let me stay in the studio, which has a lovely garden. The host is very charming and gave me a wonderful advice for the loveliest route to Narbonne. C'était magnifique, merci beaucoup Bertrand !
