Beautiful setting, fully stocked with all equipment needed, provision of play stuff and bikes was a real plus. Pool was superb. Laban was a fantastic host.

The property is spacious and in a scenic location on the edge of the pretty village of Saint Sauvent. It is therefore great value for money (and would definitely cost more if the kitchen and bathroom were more modern). It is a great place for a tech detox with no TV or internet (but the mobile phone network coverage is good). We enjoyed cycling into Saintes via the flattish river route (D134 & D24)

What a super little place! Les Pilotis is a very special stay. Although we could have stayed on an emplacement in our camper we chose one of the lovely chalets with its own little garden. Beautiful warm pool and spa facilities (sauna/hot tub). Our hosts Frank and Martine could not have been more helpful. Quiet pretty countryside but an easy bike ride into Cognac.
Cottages are perfect for travellers who enjoy feeling cosy and independent in the countryside. Usually small, traditionally built houses, cottages spread across one or two floors, making them great for families, or holidays with a little more privacy.
Extremely friendly hosts passionate about cognac making, beautiful 19th century property, large rooms, beautiful nature around, great breakfast with fireplace warming us on, calm and quiet.
