It's a wonderful place, and Jouni prepared everything we needed.
The spacious main building has four rooms, thus kids and we have separate spaces for a good night's sleep. Equipped with advanced electric oven, kitchen utensils and tableware, dishwasher, all cocoa, and tea bags are also available. The excellent clothes dryer keeps our snow clothes and boots warm and dry, and the very healing sauna room can purify our body and mind. There is a CD player to listen and Netflix to watch dramas. This is the first time we've burned wood in the fireplace to keep warm! 🔥

Perfect chalet in the middle of nowhere with a breathtaking view. I definitely recommend this property, there’s everything you need in the kitchen and lots of plugs. Just one thing you should know, you will need a SUV or a 4 wheel drive vehicle to be able to exit the property during winter as the road is steep. Thank you to Antti for coming to remove the snow from the road for us or else we would have missed our prepaid activity.

Hands down the the nicest place ever. There is beautiful wooden sauna, indoor and outdoor hot tub, and you can barbecues while you soak in the hot water under the stars. Amazing views of frozen lake, where you can go ice swimming, we even tried to cut the ice hole ourselves, but it is more difficult than it looks like. Bunnies and and squirrels can be observed from windows when the sun goes down. Fire place and central heating, we were so cosy even during -26 degrees temperatures hit. Clean, modern, and the hosts were absolute stars, thank you Sanna and Timmo, this stay felt like living in the fairy tale for a few days

Lovely cottage with masses of snow everywhere, just what we wanted. Good location, about 10-15 minute drive to town. Kitchen had everything you needed to prepare a meal. Very warm. We lit the fire one night which was lovely and was still warm in the morning.

Fantastic location - it felt like Narnia. If you want a true snowy, Lapland experience come here. We didn't even venture into the main town (no need) and it just felt like we were in another world.
The view from the main window was amazing. We borrowed sledges and sledged down the main hill leading to the cabin, walked around the snowy forest and onto the frozen lake.
The cabin had everything we needed. It was always warm when we came back, even if the temp wasn't on the highest setting. Kitchen had everything we needed. Sauna was a bonus.
The owners have a bigger cabin next to this one but you can't see them and they keep to themselves so you don't feel like you're staying in someone's property.
We usually do accomodation on a budget but staying here really made our experience SO much better and more magical. Worth the money 100%

The property was in the most perfect setting. A quiet neighborhood around 15 mins walk from town centre. Just 10 mins walk to the Artikum/pilke museum and frozen river (a great viewing place for the northern lights!). A couple of k market supermarkets within 10 mins walk. Bus stop for Santa Claus village/kotatieva/airport etc only 15 mins walk. 15 mins taxi from airport and 15 mins taxi ride to Santa Claus village. The villa was so well stocked making cooking for a big group very easy. We were 3 families and had ample space. Plenty of fresh towels and bedding. A good supply of sledges in the garden , the kids adored sledging in the garden and trapsing in the deep snow nearby in the neighborhood. The shower room with 2 amazingly warm and powerful showers was ideal for getting all the children showered and the adults enjoyed the on site sauna. The drying room was fantastic and all our kit was always dry within a few hours. The house was beautifully warm at all times. The owner Arto was very responsive to all our questions and so helpful and accommodating. We all agreed this was the best property we had ever stayed in and it totally made our trip. Thank you so much Arto.

The stay was amazing! We actually don't want more people to know about this because we would like to book it more often ;)
Cottages are perfect for travellers who enjoy feeling cosy and independent in the countryside. Usually small, traditionally built houses, cottages spread across one or two floors, making them great for families, or holidays with a little more privacy.
We felt like home from the very first moment we entered the villa and Jouni was there to welcome us. It's a very beautiful, well-located and cosy house with everything you can ask for. The house is extremely well-equipped and the beds are comfortable. The sauna is amazing, all 5 of us could fit in there. Incredible views over the frozen river. You can even spot some Northern Lights if you're lucky! The location is superb as all the activities are near but you're still in the middle of nature. We didn't want to leave!
We spent 3 wonderful nights in Somosenranta villa. The house is really cozy and fully furnished, you can find everything you need and even more!
The host has been very helpful and the location, two steps from the frozen river, is simply amazing.
11/10 points for the sauna inside the villa.
