Fantastic host guided us through the remote check in as we left hospital de orbigo with what's app I could forward to my friends for their details. Entry was easy as was finding this magnificent house as there was a sign on the edge of f town. It's huge, quiet, comfortable and spacious. We all wanted a bedroom each and this was perfect as we were also far apart and the walls thick. Lots of hidden extras and the best was our 14 minute washing while we had our showers. 2 showers are so good on the Camino when every minute can get a wee bit precious. Sweaty pilgrims are never very good at patience. Check out was easy and we all had a great time. The price was phenomenal for the accommodation. Thank you and I'll be back next Camino

Casa Tonete is set in San Justo de la Vega, 48 km from San Isidoro Church, 48 km from Palacio del Conde Luna, and 4.1 km from Palacio Episcopal de Astorga. The property features inner courtyard and quiet street views, and is 47 km from San Marcos Convent. The accommodation offers free WiFi throughout the property, as well as a terrace and a restaurant.

The house is very roomy with 4 bedrooms, a large Livingroom, kitchen, laundry room, and bathroom. It is located in a small quiet town directly on the Camino. There is a bar/restaurant very near to the property. There is also a small family run grocery store a few blocks away. While I was there alone, I could easily see the property accommodating a large family or group walking the Camino. It is best to communicate with the owners via text in Spanish. They are very quick to respond. Use Google Translate to compose the text and then copy/paste the Spanish translation into your text. It worked very well for me.

After a long wet day on the Camino, this was such a welcoming, cosy, clean albergue. The staff members were all very kind and I heard them conversing in Spanish, English and German at various times. The rooms were spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The food was by far the best we’ve ever had on the Camino - amazing value (€12for 3 courses), very tasty, filling, and it was obvious that good quality ingredients had been used. Well done to the hardworking staff!
