The exceptional dinner downstairs (same owners)with my wife claiming it to be the best eat out dinner she has ever had. The very friendly and efficient staff. Down to earth friendly way they all interacted with us. The rooms were much larger than what we expected. The nice balcony with chairs to enjoy the winter afternoon sun. The convenience of having numerous restaurants shops etc within strolling distance.

There is nothing negative to say about our stay in Wilderness, other than I wish it could have been for longer! Our accomadation at Tranquil Shores, was simply perfect. Our host was so gracious and generous with advise for local activities and attractions. The room we stayed in was lovely and very tastefully decorated.
Honestly this was such a lovely place to spend some time in.

The beaches and views from the top of Hoekwil or Map of Africa are too beautiful. The nature walks and general magical feeling of the place makes it an ideal holiday destination. It is close to the large town of George and Knysna with markets available on Saturdays,
You would need a car to get around Wilderness.

One of the most stunning (and our favourite) beaches in the World.
Plenty of good restaurants - great value.
Loved the view from para gliding site but Map of Africa did not meet expectations.
Very restful / having had busy 3 weeks beforehand.
Restaurants - Las salinas; girls 👧 n the square; joplins steak house; pommodoro - all excellent and good value. Las S was our favourite; walking distance; good food and excellent service.

We stayed three nights in Wilderness and that was probably the perfect length of stay. It's a small town, but a very beautiful location. The long beach is nice, if you like that sort of thing. However, exploring the lagoon on an 'eco-cruise' is a 'must' and probably the most enjoyable adventure on our three-week stay in South Africa. Wilderness is also blessed with some good restaurants, 'The Girls On The Square' deserves an accolade, but 'Serendipity' is in a league of its own - one of the best restaurants I've visited anywhere in the world.

This is an amazingly clean and beautiful property.
This is an amazingly clean and beautiful property. It has a lovely pool with sunbeds and seating area to rear of property and the front of the property overlooks the most stunning beach. Little extras in the room make it absolutely fabulous. The hosts are extremely welcoming and friendly as is the family dog Duke. Would highly recommend.
Mes Amis is a beautiful guest house, with very comfortable, gorgeously appointed rooms, in one of the most beautiful spots in South Africa. Paul and the team were excellent in every way, making us feel completely at home and going out of there way to ensure we are comfortable and well looked after.
The house has direct access to the stunning Wilderness beachfront, and is perfectly situated to enjoy both sunrise and sunset with fantastic coffee or a glass of wine.
Absolutely recommended!
The property was way too beautiful, perfect location with magnificent views, absolutely breath taking. Jeroene is an amazingly kind and warm host, received such an amazing hospitality. The house is clean and managed daily. Sparkling pool, beautiful outdoor sitting area, the breakfast room has a breathtaking ocean view. A perfect place to create your holiday itinerary. I highly recommend Koo Boo Berry Self Catering Guest House if you want you visit the Garden route, Wilderness.
What an amazing relaxing stay in the Wilderness right on the lagoon for swimming, canoeing, bird watching and close to the beach, hikes, restaurants, all adventure activities and the well equipped little Spar.
We loved our excellent, comfortable and super clean accommodation in our well equipped self catering suite. The best was the very friendly and helpful hosts, Nadia and Gert who couldn't do enough to help us with anything we needed, even an early check in.
This is an awesome property. The location is breathtaking and it’s very convenient to explore the nearby region in the garden route , Oudtshoorn and Cango Caves. The host Ms. Hoffman is an artist and her paintings are showcased throughout the property. It has a boutique studio vibe. Hoffmans are a warm couple who welcomes the guests personally and provides the introductory tour to the property. Right on the beach, it’s a great place to relax and explore.
A lovely small boutique hotel with comfortable rooms and friendly staff. It’s located close to the Wilderness beach. The Guesthouse offers free on-premise parking.
We received excellent service from Dombi who served us at reception and at breakfast. She offered great advice on things we could do in Wilderness, including the Saturday market at Sedgefield which is an excellent one to visit.
Beautiful location, a really lovely beach house - extremely comfy bed, a little sea view. Lincy was absolutely lovely and so helpful during our stay. Would definitely stay again. Well placed for walking 5-10 minutes to restaurants, map of Africa viewpoint, various walking trails and of course the beach is right on the doorstep and Wilderness beach is BEAUTIFUL.
This property is beautiful, located right on the beach, and Jemma the manager is wonderful. The breakfasts each morning were amazing, eating overlooking the beach. I went to sleep with the windows open every night, with the sounds of the ocean. Parking was inside the gate, very safe. I also loved it that I could walk to town for the many fab restaurants.
this is amazing property located right on the beach and really quite place away from the city and yet so close that if you want to go to shopping centre or good restaurants nearby you can definitely do so. Even if you are looking for weekend gate away or long term stay , look no further - I totally recommend this. Everyone at the property was welcoming.
Wow, what views? Would be great for groups, families, truly a spectacular spot. Very accommodating hosts. Lovely included breakfast with breathtaking views. (Paragliders, dolphins and possibly whales,) George and Wilderness and Knysna all have lots to do and fantastic restaurants.
The property certainly lives up to its name, located at a vantage point overlooking a river bed, extremely scenic and tranquil.
Rooms are comfortable and very value for the price, Would totally recommend the place for a stay in Wilderness.
The position was amazing, rooms were extremely comfortable & clean.
The customer service was exceptional and the little extra touches shown by the staff do not go unnoticed.
I would definitely recommend this hotel in Wilderness.
Absolute beach front, rooms with spectacular view, hotel furnished like you stay in a friend’s house, lots of comfortable couches in common areas, lots of very interesting coffee table books about South Africa. Lovely staff!
Tranquil shores is a beautiful place and Wilderness is a lovely little town. Gideon and Eurena were great hosts. We really appreciated the advice they gave us. Their tips greatly enhanced our trip. Thanks!
This was self catering therefore no breakfast. But the place is lovely. Close to top Restaurants to choose from. Stunning view, a Wonder of God. The unit had everything. On the beach. Wow!
