Location was good, shower was hot and the bed was comfortable, close to town and shops. Breakfast was great, unfortunately we had to deal with load shedding. We will definitely stop over again when I am in the area, for work again.

There was no option to choose your breakfast, have received already packed breakfast not even asking what would i like for breakfast. Was so not happy with that and i feel they over charged the place, it not worth for that pricing.

Vryheid is a lovely little town with all the shops you would be accustomed to, various restautrants to choose from as well, they have a Spar and Checkers for general groceries but its a great town to visit with some lovely little shops with antiques etc
The lady who welcomed us and shown me our rooms was very friendly, patient and forever smilling. This was really good experience, she made it easy for me to ask all the questions I had and feel at home.
The room was very spacious and clean. We felt at home. Should I visit vryheid soon, surely I will lodge there again.
The Water wheel is the perfect place to stay if you require peace and quiet. Vryheid is already small and quiet, but staying a little out of town (10 minutes drive) in the mountains in the fantastic scenery is an added bonus. The place is neat and tidy with spectacular views of the surrounding countryside.
This review is actually for Shonalanga luxury accommodation in Vryheid and not Mount Sinai.
Due to plumbing difficulties the owner of Mount Sinai relocated me to Shonalanga which i was ok with.
I wish i had stayed at Mount Sinai though, the pictures look great, i guess theres always a next time!

The hospitality - Petro was so warm and welcoming,the location,the view and the animals. Everything is as advertised very well kept and maintained , if you are looking for a beautiful place that is peaceful this is the place in Vryheid.
Wonderful staff - extremely helpful, accommodating and lovely. Rooms were clean, comfortable and the decor of the entire hotel is classy and well done. Breakfast started early which was perfect for our group, and had plenty of options.
Vryheid is conveniently located between the coast and the Drakensberg. The property is a short walk from the centre of town. The rooms are comfortable and a superb breakfast is provided. The property has many plants.
It was a very short stay but the host was friendly the yard was absolutely stunning and the place was clean. The pool was beautiful. For anyone staying in vryheid Id recommend it
