We really enjoyed our stay. It was just what we were looking for - peace and quiet and rest...the fireplace was the best part. Although there was a problem with electricity due to the snowfall, a generator was provided where electricity was made possible at certain times of the morning and night.
The staff, Farouk and Tokozani were amazing, friendly and very helpful. We will definitely be going back again.

The location is absolutely amazing with stunning views. The fireplace and firewood provided made it cosy and the simplicity of the unit gives you the oppurtunity to spend some quality time with your family. We appreciated the electric blankets. All basic amnemities for cooking is available.

The cottage is absolutely beautiful, and the surroundings even more spectacular. The cottage had everything we needed, and more. The decor is beautiful. We loved the fresh pate and bread, and the activities on offer. Sadly we didn't get a chance to do any fishing, but we will be back!

Lalamanzi was great, the views, the house was excellent, the pictures on booking dot com didn't do it justice. It was clean, cozy and great for our trip, we really loved mom Mavis. Hope to go again soon.

The parking is safe and near the rooms 😊.
The parking is safe and near the rooms 😊. It was cold and there was no heater and at the same time the shower was not working. It was hard to take a bath.
The bed was not stable since the floor has a big hole. We had to be careful when we climb out of the bed.
We were not happy at all!! 😥

Great place to stay if you want to unwind and take some time...
Great place to stay if you want to unwind and take some time off the grid. Perfect place to disconnect from all the stress and pressure of life. Definitely need a 4x4 or an all wheel drive vehicle.
No restaurants or any other facilities close-by.
Closest town is Underberg and mostly travel by gravel road.
Wouldn't change anything and will definitely be back.

The beds were too comfy wish i could just take the matresses home. We had a very peaceful stay surrounding areas were just too peaceful, besides the fact that we had cold showers on saturday night it was only fixed the morning.

Great location and very quick response from the host when any questions/requests were sent through.
Overall we had a great stay and it was everything a rustic location should be. We’d definitely go back.
A few recurring issues remain (from previous reviews) and a couple of comments from myself:
- the sliding doors don’t lock and are very stiff on the slide
- gas bottle ran out on our first night. It was replaced first thing next day, but meant no cooking on that morning due to load shedding
- the games are missing key pieces and are not in great condition
- there is a tv but you need to take all leads to connect it to any device you take. There is no dvd player or other media device connected to the tv.

Stunning landscape with open space and rolling green hills...
Stunning landscape with open space and rolling green hills wherever you look. It was overcast and misty during our stay, which just made the views more striking. Lots of nice places to eat, museum and shops to visit.
The breakfast was fantastic and the staff were great and very helpful. There is a restaurant called the Olde Duck right behind the accommodation and the food and cakes on offer are amazing. There is also a lovely gift shop and a number of cycling and walking trails. The accommodation is very close to Underberg town and other amenities. The rooms are very spacious and well equipped.
A very clean warm and comfortable apartment.More extras were provided to us by Reiena stocked coffee and tea station she even provide us with rusk and one litre of milk. We stayed in a wood for fired and heated blankets. Amazing hospitality we got from Reiena. I wont hesitate to recommend this establishment to anyone who looking for accommodation in Underberg

Silo Cottage is in a beautiful location with lovely views of the Drakensberg. The house is spacious and has everything you need to enjoy a self catered stay near Underberg. Great spot to stay with friends or family.
