Booked a private room as a base to explore the Sani Pass and environment. Comfortable and good value for money. Offers good food at affordable prices. The chocolate cake and butternut soup from the tea garden was divine. Has a fridge as well as a freezer for or meat and ice. Has a shop with art, crafts, books and jams and preserves. I needed a cork screw to open my wine and was pleasantly surprised to find it in the fairly well equipped kitchen. I enjoyed the rustic in-the-berg-like backpacker atmosphere around a fireplace.

I wanted a place where I could completely disconnect from the world and Mkomazana Mountain Cottages offered just that. The views of the mountains and the fact that it snowed 🥹😍. The host Cliff and his staff made sure we were warm at all times even with the power it due to the weather. And we woke up to freshly baked scones being delivered to our door every morning.

-The location was perfect…right on the water’s edge with a wonderful view of the (snow covered) mountains. Getting there was easy too…just an easy drive from Underberg.
