I had a lovely stay. The grounds are very lush and you can tell there is a lot of love going into it. The accommodation was great, bungalow was a good size. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen had everything you need. The shower had good pressure and plenty of hot water. Thank you Andre for a lovely stay and all the useful information.

St Lucia is a break away from a busy city life yet you're still in a town. A beautiful place to be adventurous and yet relaxed. The town is small enough to walk around in and enjoy the ambience. The boat cruise on the estuary is awesome. The many restaurants serve good food too

The place was amazing and really peaceful, we enjoyed our stay, our bad encounter was actually with the manager on site not the host. This was due to a misunderstanding. Our stay was really great, restaurants were a walking distance and so we're the shops.

Beautiful beaches and town.
Beautiful beaches and town. Boat trip on the Estuary was lovely. Best part was the drive to Cape vidal. Saw plenty of wildlife on the way including elephant, rhino, Buffalo, different types of buck and warthog.

Expensive small tourist town in which the majority of black people are there to work but do not live there and do not own much of the local economy, except being service providers. The St Lucia Wetlands Park Authority and other entities have a lot of work to do, to ensure black investment in the tourism sector as owners rather than servants. The racial and ethnical picture in the restaurants is very deplorable and has not changed much since apartheid. This makes the town, not the best place to visit for holiday. I would not visit for a long time for leisure to spend my hard earned black cash is an economy that is refusing to change. The private sector operating here needs to enjoin government efforts for economic transformation and support the diversification of the tourist sector - not by fronting but real transformation.

ST as we call it here in Joburg is a beautiful place with plenty to see an do if you have the transport. Walking around town is not a problem because it's "short and sweet' yet full of attractions, shops and restaurants just as in any self-respectful beach destination. Full of places to rest in and dine. Beaches need transport but in our country if you have no wheels you stay home! Trust me it's well worth it! UNESCO parks, Big (4) cos' no Lions allowed ;-) 25degC ocean water and a lots of fun! Activities can be found with a short search so I'm not going to go that deep.
And, to answer Booking.com's robot:
"What would you avoid on your next visit?"
A; My mother's snoring ;-)
Come visit ST...and prove me wrong!
Andre and his spot were both amazing. Andre was very welcoming and shared lots of interesting information about St. Lucia and his little patch of jungle during our stay. The sound at night was amazing to listen to and we were reminded of our stays further out in the bush. The spot was close to town and Andre recommended a great spot for dinner where we enjoyed some freshly caught and extremely tasty fish. The cottage was well equipped and very comfortable. We had everything we needed and slept great.
The town of St Lucia is a gem. The scenery and surroundings are magnificent, add to this Bushpigs Haven. Set on beautiful sub-tropical gardens, 3 bedrooms with great beds, a patio that extends and overlooks the biggest swimming pool I've ever seen at any guest house, anywhere in South Africa with a very well equipped outdoor but covered kitchen area with everything you can think of and the privacy offered and the location is unmatched. From here you can walk to anywhere in St Lucia safely.
This is by far the most beautiful self catering lodge in St Lucia. This lodge and everything inside of it is brand new and the decor is exquisite. Perfect location. Beautiful pool and braai area and a tranquil view of the Forrest from the terrace. Don't think there is another self catering lodge that offers the same. I can highly recommend this lodge as it met all my expectations. Thank you for the warm welcome and great hospitality. I will most definitely visit again!
It is nice, clean, has enough room for two families. We loved the fact that everything you need is there. It is self catering and has a daily housekeeper and gardener. The location is very close to town within walking distance to town. We all felt very safe at this property. It is in a very quiet neighborhood with no distractions or disturbances.
There is no better place to stay in South Africa than this magic guest house where Collin is the host. Everything is perfect: breakfast is outstanding, everything is clean, the bed is big and the rooms are spacious. Also, great recommendations and a welcome drink on arrival. You feel treated as a royalty for good prices. highly recommended!!
The tents were spacious, clean and comfortable. There was sufficient fridge space and the bathroom was good. The setting within the trees was very relaxing and the facilities were very good. The location is close to everything you need in St Lucia and the beach and bush are just a short drive away.
We loved the cabin we stayed in, it was spotlessly clean and ultra comfortable and the beds and pillows were spot on. Shelly the proprietor was so helpful and friendly as well as the staff. We will be returning next year and look forward to it, its the ONLY place I would stay in St Lucia.
Lovely feel with the huts amongst the palm trees. Superb location. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was nice. Definitely one of the nicer boutique hotels in St Lucia. Highly highly recommend doing all tours and cruises with Shakabarker - they made our trip to St Lucia
Got a very good deal for 4 days stay at the property. I had stayed in the other places in St. Lucia in the previous visits. The place is definitely worth its value, especially travel as a group. The rooms are clean and spacious, the kitench has everything you need.
Did not try the breakfast since I booked self catering. We will book breakfast the next time as most of the restaurants only open from 09h00, with the exception of Wimpy. After 09h00, there are plenty of options and the kitchen is well equipped.
Very homely, modern, clean and tidy. Comfortable for a family of 4. Centrally located in St Lucia. Host is very hospitable and accommodating. Very safe. Definitely recommend and will definitely visit again! Pool well maintained even in winter.
The people who run the Guest House are super friendly and help you with everything, from reservations for excursions to helpful tips for your stay. The breakfast is delightful! We would definitely recommend a stay here when visiting St. Lucia.
Quiet beautiful scenery, located close to the beach, beautiful town scenery,, happy cheerful staff always ready to assist,, comfy bedding, self catering facilities,, super fast wifi,, will definitely go there more often
