Mossel Bay is a beautiful city, not overcrowded, it makes a perfect vacation to relax and recharge. The only challenge is public transport, Uber & Bolt are almost non-existent, it's mostly private taxis that you have to call and they are always busy, making the waiting time a bit longer. I would recommend you come with your own car or you hire one, you'll enjoy the place even more without transport inconveniences.
Overall, it's a beautiful place with more than enough to offer visitors.

Charming with some lovely boutique shops.
Charming with some lovely boutique shops. At the far end a great hiking opportunity around st Blaize point followed by a refreshing dip in the sea gully. Unfortunately couldn’t do the zip line as it was too windy. Nor the shark diving for the same reason.
Great padel court on the sea front.
Great bagels at jacks on the Main Street
Dinner at gannet was good.
Amazing bbq in the harbour and very reasonable.
Try the oyster shots next door.
Don’t visit the aquarium!

Visiting the ATKV near by in Hartenbos has great facilities for both adults and children. A visit to the Langeberg Mall is a must to shopping and dining.
A visit to Diaz Beach with its long stretch of white sand and a visit to the Zipline which is the biggest over the ocean in the whole world at the Point is a must

.
2 restaurants we used were kingfisher and café gannet which was exceptional in everything.
We loved this guesthouse in Mossel Bay. Very high class. The location is excellent on a hill overlooking the bay, rooms big, comfortable, and very tastefully decorated. Bathroom big with an excellent shower. Breakfast was excellent with choices of freshly prepared hot/cold dishes in a beautiful dining room with a balcony with great views. The owner (Lizette) is a lovely and kind person, and we highly enjoyed her hospitality.
Loved the location of this place! You are really on the beach here! The breakfast is a pretty nice buffet. The restaurant/ bar is pretty neat as well, you can get a nice beer and food before heading to your room. The stay in the train is pretty funny as well! The rooms are not huge, if you want more space I would recommend to get the suites. But for someone travelling alone, it was enough.
This was the 2nd time here and thoroughly enjoyed the self catering apartment and especially the location. I went with my whole family and inlaws and staff accommodated to have all four apartments next to each other. On the 3rd day, I also enjoyed some pampering at the beauty salon at the hotel. Kids loved the waterpark which is in walking distance. Would definately come again December.
Wonderfully located right in front of the beach. You just need to go down the stairs and you can have a nice swim in the Indian ocean. You can have your breakfast on the terrace watching the waves. The staff was very friendly and supportive. It helped us even when our car broke down. we felt very safe in the area and also on the beach. It was not crowded and very relaxing for us.

Thanks Point Village Hotel and Self Catering 👍
The quietness in the evenings with the sounds of frogs and crickets were awsome.
Woken up by the sound of guinea-fowl was just as nice.
Although not on the beach front, access to beaches and shops were easy and quick.
The property is well equiped and comfortable.
The train was nicely kept up and the stay included a continental breakfast with homemade muffins. It was a fun experience for one night. The ocean waves made a peaceful sound for sleeping and the beach was literally out the back door of the train car.
The hotel is excellently positioned in the tourism hub of Mossel Bay, within easy walking distances to all the main attractions, including excellent restaurants. The staff are friendly and accommodating in respect of all you possible needs.
The location on the beach was great. It is about 10mins outside Mossel Bay which has several good restaurants- we tried the Sea Gypsy café and the Gannet at the Protea Hotel, both really good
Breakfast was reasonable. Could maybe have a bigger variety or range to choose from.
The location of the Hotel was peaceful and quiet with a awesome view.
The breakfast was very good and the location in Mossel Bay was within walking distance of the town centre and The Point area. The \guest House was great.
