I was looking for a country get away where I could relax and take long walks with my dog. I assumed from the accommodation site information that there was hiking on the property - this was not the case. Mooiriver town has nothing to commend it . Rearsby was close to a very good spa and also next door to a very good eating establishment - if that is your thing. It is also close enough for an easy trip to Nothingham Road.

Mooiriver is beautiful with a mountain view.its cozy in the winter because of the cold so many places have a fireplace. There is lots to see an do in the area. It's about 1 an a half hours from Durban so it's the perfect get away from the busy city. Lots of farmlands an a more relaxed way of life.

We spent a lot of our time at various school functions. We did spend time at the Rosetta Hotel and had a really great time. We had a very relaxing weekend and spent the rest of our time at the Midlands Saddle and Trout resort.
We recently had the pleasure of staying at this charming bed and breakfast, it was a delightful blend of comfort and elegance. Leanne and Andrew were incredibly welcoming, making us feel at home instantly. Their attention to detail is evident in every corner, from the tastefully decorated room to the freshly baked muffins and delicious breakfast. We are looking forward to returning soon for a longer stay.
The staff were extremely friendly, the breakfast were amazing. The staff came to apologize about 20 times for the loadshedding when it was out of their control. For those traveling or looking for a place to stay that is quiet and an at home feel I highly recommend it, it is not like a hotel room so please do not expect that.

Exceptional accomodation in lakeside rondavel-got an upgrade due to miscommunication between Hotel and BOOKING.COM resulting in double booking of reserved room.
Highlight of stay was no doubt the gourmet dinners - the desserts were divine
The attention to detail, the decor and the food were outstanding. The chef Justin is amazing and we had Christmas lunch as well which was outstanding. Overall a beautiful hotel. They also phoned us to check we were home safely. Going the extra mile.
The chalet was huge! And very comfortable. Bathrooms were lovely, clean, fresh towels - it really felt like a hotel experience! I will stay again at Midlands any day! Lovely pool, beautiful grounds and fun area for kids.
.It is a nice size cottage with self catering amenities i have been before and thoroughly enjoyed my stay... However this time our cottage was on the other side of the resort with a view of bushes....not great
The Restaurant has what you need and the food is basic but good. The staff are friendly and efficient. It's also situated near the pool and works for the entire family. Kids can play while the adults eat.
Just a perfect hotel! Wonderful setting. Beautiful room. So many details and such a kind attention for the guests. The dinner was stunting! Waw! Breakfast amazing with a lovely view (the garden).
