Wow, 100 out of 100 for the host. What an amazing experience my fiance and I had at this accommodation. The apartment was so beautiful, so stunning, so amazing and so super squeaky clean. It's a beautiful place for a couple to enjoy each other's company and enjoy a lovely meal. The apartment literally had everything you needed. The host even went so far as to provide cooking oil, salt, pepper, tea, coffee and milk. I have never stayed at any accommodation in and around Westville, this was my first time and because of this accommodation I will spend so many more holidays at this area. Thank you so much to the host. Their taste in everything at the apartment is absolutely impeccable. The apartment is really modern and so cute. The view of the little lake is so cute and if you love nature, you will love this place. It even has a Airfryer which is such a lovely touch. And a beautiful verandah to have a braai at. What a serene place. Definitely worth a second visit. It also has Netflix for you and your partner to just have a lovely day in. And the bed and pillows were absolutely comfortable. The bathroom was so squeaky clean, it even has soap dispensers, what a lovely touch.

Hillcrest is nestled among the Valley of 1000 Hills, and it is breathtakingly beautiful. We enjoy staying there when we visit Shongweni Farmer's Market and it is a superb base. Apart from Shongweni, Hillcrest has plenty of great restaurants and shopping centres. The bonus is the many little hidden treasures of garden, antiques, and other little shops. It is really a lovely area with plenty to offer.

Hillcrest is a beautiful place but the actual place we booked. What I thought we had and what we actually received was very different. I was not a apartment to rent but a room. Which is basically false advertising and a waste of my money. I did not even stay in the accommodation as we was so upset we left within 2hrs of arrival
Very spacious and comfortable. Quiet rural setting. Comfortable beds and a well equipped kitchen. Adequate space for me to have meetings while my wife could relax in the garden or upstairs. Ideally situated for the work I was doing in Hammarsdale and Hillcrest.
For those who do not want to self-cater, there are numerous restaurants in the area - one just over the main road.
Roy was an ideal host and he is a skilled workman, having built the cottage himself - woodwork and all.
Everything about valley lodge was beyond my expectations very clean quality bed linen, very comfortable beds with unique furniture Wow soft towels and delicious meals kitchenette with crockery, cutlery that you will need for self catering and mini bar. Comfortable place to be very close to all amenities. Friendly and very attentive helpful staff. Beautiful lushy green and well nartured gardens. Wow very Peaceful place.
This hotel is for Royalty! You are treated like a Queen from the time you enter the property until they walk you to your car. I enjoyed my stay in these extra clean rooms, the beautiful grounds and the Chef that's the best in Town. The staff is truly yours every day and night, making sure you're very happy. I give this hotel 10 stars and coming from America, this place is truly a dream. I will be back to be pampered!
It was so cute - a total IG aesthetic dream - but there were 2 exceptional things; 1) the stars above me while I lay in bed. A JHB girl doesn’t get to see the same sky as you do in Hillcrest & it was just beautiful. 2) the outdoor bath! Not only is it just such fun to have a bath outdoors; but it was SO deep and honestly the best bath I’ve ever had. Plus, those stars I mentioned before, they’re there too!
This establishment is in the heart of Hillcrest, it is gorgeous, the property is well kept, the pool is stunning and the staff is fantastic. Rosland, is a very welcoming and friendly manager. I do recommend this place to anyone coming to KZN, the beach is only 20 min away, and then you get the tranquility of being back up the hill and you can hang around the poolside.

Check in and out was quick and easy. Stephanie the host, made sure that every little thing has been taken care of for a relaxing stay. A well thought through establishment. Very clean, very quiet , and a must to stay at when in the Hillcrest area.
The location was perfect for visiting friends and family in Hillcrest. It felt safe as there were others people around and it was easy to have friends visit us too.

I travelled down to Hillcrest for a wedding and found this to be a wonderful little spot to rest, get some work done, and commute easily to my friends through the week. Michelle and her staff are so warm and friendly, and I always felt as if my comfort and wellbeing was important to them
Spacious, comfortable room with everything we needed and more. We only spent one night but the unit is very well equipped for longer stays. Good breakfast and friendly staff. The full DSTv bouquet was a bonus. Conveniently close to the Hillcrest private hospital.
