Lovely green area... with lots of shops if that is what you also want. We had very short stay so we only visited the Shongweni Farmers & Craft Market. Will make sure to visit more places next time.

I use it for my business trips as it is near Pinetown. It is an absolute oasis. Thete is nothing to say except it was perfect. The room. The grounds. The restaurant. And the staff.- nothing was too much trouble. I will never stay anywhere else when I come to Durban. Simply TOP DRAWER.

Hillcrest is nestled among the Valley of 1000 Hills, and it is breathtakingly beautiful. We enjoy staying there when we visit Shongweni Farmer's Market and it is a superb base. Apart from Shongweni, Hillcrest has plenty of great restaurants and shopping centres. The bonus is the many little hidden treasures of garden, antiques, and other little shops. It is really a lovely area with plenty to offer.

Hillcrest is a beautiful place but the actual place we booked. What I thought we had and what we actually received was very different. I was not a apartment to rent but a room. Which is basically false advertising and a waste of my money. I did not even stay in the accommodation as we was so upset we left within 2hrs of arrival

Very pleasant host that was welcoming and polite, The house was very modern with a touch of vintage aesthetic! The room was cozy and spotless and had a pleasant scent when entering the room. There was a cute little Beagle (dog) named Simone that greeted us. We had a private entrance, and all access to the deck and pool area. DSTV and NETFLIX was available. Located close to all the hotspots of Hillcrest so was cheap to order Ubers. An overall 11/10

Retreat was unexpectedly AWESOME!! It is a whole - albeit little - house - beautifully set up - right in the centre of Hillcrest, yet having a friendly neighbourhood vibe... We couldn't have hoped for anything more.
