Sambane Game Lodge is a place I can recommend if you want to have a great stay off the grid. The staff is making you feel at home. The lodge is very ice and also the restaurant is really good!

We booked at Honeyguide Ranger Camp because our children recommend the place . We were looking forward to be wakened in the morning by the drums but that didn't happened !!! No drums !
And our children told us about the snack packs that was received on the game drives that we also did not get . We received a biscuit in the morning drive with our coffee , but at the afternoon drive we only had a drink . According to what they eat at Honeyguide Ranger Camp was definitely not what we had .

The place is deserted and basically all facilities are closed down except for clubhouse that are only open from 16h00 - 10h00 at night for bar and basic menu for dinner.
Golf course is deserted and no golf
We felt sad to see such a top class facility going down the drain.
The staff are very friendly and try there best.
We left after one night when very rude and noisy guests booked in around us at 2 in the morning!

The best was that on our last day they gave us a self catering accommodation. So they sympathized with us. What was not best is us cooking without a kitchen and the bar fridges were not working properly our meat was not as fresh. Wish they had private pools as well

This was an absolute disgrace. We arrived at approximately 17:30 at our destination, and had to drive around to find the key, Eventually the key was brought to us by a certain Owen. By now it was 18:30. We arrived to blaring music in the unit next door. Our unit had no key to the sliding door to the patio, so we were unable to lock it. We reported it immediately. We made a number of calls. There was no TV reception. The aircon was screeching. We were informed that all restaurants were closed due to a veld fire four days prior to our arrival. But we were not informed of said veld fire. A certain Owen handled our check-in. He informed us that 'Admin' says that we need to pay R3 650. We informed him that we have paid the full amount upfront. We tried to contact him numerous time to get the key to the patio door. He kept on saying that security will come to lock the door. By then we were starving, and had no key to secure our unit. No TV reception. We sent him a number of messages. We have this as proof. My husband refused to stay in such circumstances, and we returned home, arriving at 21:45. We wasted petrol, time and toll gate fees. It was an absolute disgrace. The place is clearly under liquidation. This should not be advertised to clients on a site like yours. In our hurry to get away, I left my pillow at the place. I want my pillow. I want a full refund. I want the money back for petrol and toll gate fees. I am going to the media with this one. It is an absolute disgrace to accept bookings to such a place.
