Not really applicable for we only stayed over en route to Cape Town and did not tour around. No after-hours supermarkets or shops were available though. The only restaurant was booked for a private function and was unavailable.

It is always interesting to visit small town and to stay over even if it is just one night. There are interesting restaurants to visit and as always in small town historic contexts that makes it nice to see.

An old town with nothing to recommend it.

An old town with nothing to recommend it. There were no resturant facilities in the town. Outside of the accommodation we did not feel safe. The diesel available was the most expensive seen on our tour (10% more than some other small towns).

We didn't spend long in Britstown, but it was a good place for a halfway stop. There were a handful of restaurants which we didn't visit and one minimart which we did. It had the all essentials.
